Why not just use Buffer or Repurpose.io?

Reasonable question. Buffer is $15/month and supports the big platforms. Hootsuite costs more. Repurpose.io even handles TikTok/Instagram auto-upload. Why build something new?

Repostify runs on Vercel free tier + Vercel Redis free + Gemini free. The only cost is Twitter API ($0.20/post with URL) if you enable it. For 1 video/week, that's $10/year vs. Buffer's $180/year — a 95% cost cut.

4. Calendar + todos in one app

I needed reminders for content prep anyway. Building the sync inside the same app that already had push notifications + Gmail reminders was a 2-day add-on instead of glueing a new SaaS to a calendar app.

If you don't need gaming forums and you make more than 5 videos a week, OpusClip + Buffer is probably faster than DIY. But for our niche, custom won.
